There were 110 reports made to the RCMP in Kings County between April 21 to April 24.

A woman shopping at the Greenwood Mall April 21 returned to the spot in the parking lot where she had left her car to find the car wasn’t there. She did, however, find her wallet and ID in the parking lot. The stolen vehicle was discovered a short time later in Annapolis County.

Police responded to a request from Horton School at 2:25 p.m. to remove a student who was causing problems and refused to leave. While police were en route, police were phoned and advised they were no longer needed.

A black car with two females inside hit a telephone pole on Highway 1 in Aylesford. Unknown injuries were sustained. Emergency Health Services and the fire department were informed. A thief or thieves broke into a shed on Stead Street, Kentville, and stole a chainsaw.

A surveyor made an unusual discovery while working along Woodworth Road in Kentville last week. Four hundred cheques dating back to 2006 and a set of keys for a lockbox were discovered near a rock pile in a ditch. The cheques were made out in various denominations and signed by different people. The items had been exposed to the elements for a long period of time. The incident is under investigation.

An ATV was reported stolen from a garage on Smith Road, Cambridge. The vehicle was taken sometime over the weekend. The owner of the ATV reported to police he has an idea who took it.

There was a hit-and-run accident at Starr’s Point Road, Port Williams. An unknown vehicle struck the front passenger side of another vehicle while it was parked in a lot.

Eggs were thrown at a vehicle driving along Highway 101 near Coldbrook. The mischief was reported to police at 10:43 p.m. The driver, who is unfamiliar with the area, said the egging took place between Exits 15 and 12. A police patrol found nothing suspicious.

A group of youths roamed outside in a neighbourhood, a complainant reported at 12:08 a.m., going through recyclables and smashing glass on the street. Police located the boys, who denied smashing glass, and police found no debris. The boys were issued a warning and told to go home.

Two male shoplifters ages 18 and 17 attempted to steal perfume from a store on Bridge Street in Greenwood. Both were arrested, but no charges were laid.

Two or three youths rang a doorbell and ran off at Palmer Drive, Kingston. A homeowner phoned police to lodge a complaint at 10:15 p.m.

Money was stolen from a filing cabinet inside a service station during open hours at Central Ave., Greenwood. A surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect.

Four males were seen driving a maroon Chevy truck and heading from Gaspereau River to New Minas. An anonymous witness said the driver was so drunk he fell out of the truck. Police patrols couldn’t locate the vehicle.

A bullying complaint was made at 8:29 p.m. The incident occurred at Coldbrook School then spread outside school, said police.

A female was reported laying down outside a ditch along Highway 1 in Cambridge at 12:54 a.m. The woman was found to be incoherent, uncooperative and unable to provide much information. She was wearing slippers and what appeared to be pajamas. She was taken to Valley Regional Hospital and admitted under the name ‘Jane Doe’. The incident is under investigation.

Money was stolen from a number of unlocked vehicles parked in driveways on Middle Dyke Road in Upper Canard.

Over $100 was stolen from a mailbox in New Minas. The theft occurred between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. April 24.

An unwanted person was reported on school property at Coldbrook and District High School. The person, who was not a student, was asked to leave.

The front door of a three-storey training building behind Public Works in Wolfville was kicked in. The incident was reported at 9:21 a.m.

Someone phoned police as 12:30 a.m. to complain about noise emanating from the Anvil Beverage Room in Wolfville. The door to the bar was open at the time. Police asked door staff to shut the door. The complainant was pleased.

Four or five nude males and females were spotted by security staff running around the Acadia University campus at 1:12 a.m. The naked individuals were not found, nor were their clothes.

At 2 a.m., loud thumping music and people screaming was reported to police. The complainant suspected a party was in progress at Prospect Street. When police arrived there were eight people in the apartment, there was no music, but there was conversation, which was not extreme. The tenant was very polite to police, who issued a warning.

Someone pumped gas into a car and left without paying at Gaspereau Gas and Convenience Store around 7 p.m.

A propane tank was stolen from a barbecue at Gaspereau Avenue in Wolfville. Police believe the incident could be related to a party on the street.

Police also received six domestic complaints, 10 false residential alarms, four mental health calls, five false 911 calls and three false commercial alarms.
