Fire Inspector Hired
The Town of Yarmouth has hired a new fire inspector; Dave Winship will begin work on
Monday, Oct. 1. Congratulations Dave and best wishes.
Sympathy
YFD members were saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected death of the infant son of John and Jody Levac, Monday, Sept. 17. The funeral service took place last Friday from the Wesleyan Church. Our sympathy to John and Jody and their families.

Surgery Needed
Harold Richardson underwent knee surgery last Friday and should be able to
get around in a short time. We wish him a speedy recovery.
1922 Ford Model T
This vehicle, another on display at the Firefighters' Museum, (first floor) was purchased by the Town of Yarmouth and used until 1932. It carried hose, ladder and fire extinguishers.
Congratulations
It's a girl. Congratulations to Monica and Kevin Taylor on the birth of their first child, born on Sept. 20 at the Yarmouth Hospital.
Date in History
Sept. 24, 2003 - A 2:53 a.m. page brought out the Yarmouth Department to the Greco Pizza store on the corner of Main and Central Street. The kitchen area was gutted with heavy smoke and heat damage through out the first floor of the brick building.
Standby mutual aid was required from Eel Brook, Port Maitland and Wedgeport & District. Equipment was on scene for 2-1/2 hours.
