Heat, humidity a concern for Canada Day

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Kings County. A warm and humid air mass will persist over the Maritimes on Canada Day, July 1, resulting in humidex values reaching the mid thirties over inland areas of mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton.

Similar temperatures and humidity are expected on Wednesday, July 2. The public is advised to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated if spending long periods of time outdoors.
