On April 25 police were advised that a young male who was on house arrest conditions had left his residence and was refusing to comply with his conditions. He was arrested the following day and has been remanded into custody.
On April 27 police located a suspicious vehicle near Queens Place in Liverpool. The male driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He provided samples of his breath and was held in custody over-night. He was released the following morning and is facing one Criminal Code charge for Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle while over .08 limit.
On April 30 at 8:47 pm on Highway 103 near Brooklyn, RCMP members stopped a silver Honda Civic for travelling at 189 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. The 19 year old male driver from Liverpool was charged with Stunting, the vehicle seized and his driver’s license suspended for 7 days. The other 3 passengers in the car were charged under the Liquor Control Act.
Having been the Acting District Commander for the Queens RCMP for the past year, I want to welcome the new District Commander, S/Sgt. Paul MacDougall, to Queens! He will start in Liverpool on Monday May 5th. As for myself, I wish to thank all of the residents throughout the Region for their support over the past year!
