I don't think Jonathan Riley was supporting evolution or attacking creation. He was simply quoting the words of experts employed by our province. Science and faith do not need to be enemies. Believing in an old earth and evolution does not necessarily mean one does not believe in creation or God. As you yourself pointed out people believe a lot of things. I have a degree in the Bible and I feel very comfortable believing in both creation and evolution. I think I've had Sunday school teachers at least 6000 to 7000 years old. Jk

I am very disappointing that the Courier printed a report that so blatantly supports the theory of evolution. The timelines given in this report are widely dis-proven by scientists around the world. Perhaps more careful wording should have been employed. There are people out there who believe the world is actually only about 6,000 -7,000 years old. For resources to help in critical thinking on this topic, check out http://creation.com/
