Three Digby men are facing charges of assault and break and enter after a man was beaten up in his home on First Avenue in Digby.

Digby RCMP were called to a break and enter on First Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15 and found the resident with severe facial injuries.

He was sent to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries, says Digby Staff Sergeant Rocky Calhoun.

Digby RCMP charged Justin James Gallant, 22, of Digby with aggravated assault, break and enter, uttering threats and breach of conditions. Gallant is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court on Thursday, April 17.

Two other male suspects are also facing numerous charges including assault and break and enter. They were released from police custody with a court date on June 16.

Calhoun says the men knew each other and one of the suspects is under 18.

He says the RCMP continue to investigate.

Eric, try a new angle. If you believe Danvers is being excluded from the laws of the land, contact your MP and MLA.
