Environment Canada has a special weather statement in effect for Nova Scotia, including Shelburne County warning that temperatures will plummet on Wednesday.
The unseasonably warm temperatures will come to an abrupt end on Wednesday as a cold front crosses the district. Rain ahead of the front will change to freezing rain or ice pellets and then light snow over eastern and northern sections of the province with the fronts passage tomorrow afternoon. The strong south to southwest winds will shift to the northwest in the wake of the cold front.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required.
