The members of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia overwhelming declared their support for Leader Jamie Baillie at this weekend's annual meeting.

Baillie earned 95 per cent of the vote on his first leadership review.

Party President Janet Fryday Dorey says the Party is strong and it is united behind Baillie.

"We are privileged to have someone of his caliber and experience leading our Party," says Fryday Dorey. "He will make the right decisions to get our province back on track."

Baillie says he is humbled by the overwhelming support of so many hard-working Party members.

"Everyday I am proud to be leader of this great Party," says Baillie. "We are strong and vigorous and ready to demand action from the Liberals. The problems our province faces cannot wait for a government without a plan."

The PC Party made small gains in the October election, but formed the Official Opposition.

Baillie left his job as the President and CEO of Credit Union Atlantic in the fall of 2010 to become the leader of the PC Party and the MLA for Cumberland South.

The PC Party AGM is being held at the Westin Nova Scotia this weekend.
