The Department of Environment is postponing a community update meeting on hydraulic fracturing wastewater that was scheduled for tonight, Jan. 29, in Noel because of the weather.

People are invited to attend the update in Truro on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m., at the Best Western Glengarry. The Noel meeting will be rescheduled.

"I know residents in Kennetcook are anxious to get an update, ask questions and voice their concerns," said Environment Minister Randy Delorey in a press release. "We will reschedule the meeting and I look forward to visiting the community in the near future."

The test results from Atlantic Industrial Services on treated hydraulic fracturing wastewater in Debert will be released Thursday at the meeting and then posted at www.novascotia.ca/nse/pollutionprevention/pubs.asp .
