Tomorrow’s blizzard has forced the cancellation of Weymouth Consolidated School for Monday, Jan. 6.
You read it right.
The Tri County Regional School Board posted the closure on their website today, saying tomorrow’s weather will delay air quality reports due tomorrow Friday, Jan. 3.
The TCRSB says that removal of the asbestos from Weymouth School took place as planned over the Christmas break and that air quality test were conducted and results were within applicable guidelines.

However the results from tests completed today, Jan. 2, will not be available now until Monday.
“As student and staff safety is our top priority, we are delaying school opening until we receive and review the reports from these tests on Monday,” says the post on the TCRSB site. “Therefore, there will be no school for students and staff of Weymouth Consolidated School on Monday, January 6th, 2014.”
The post says they will update the websites with the test results as soon as they are available.
