Two-vehicle Highway 101 collision claims life

A Dec. 19 two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 has claimed a life.

 At approximately 10:40 a.m., Windsor Rural RCMP received a report of a serious two-vehicle collision between a tractor trailer and a car. The driver of the car, a 56-year-old man from Kentville traveling east on Highway 101, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld at the time of this posting. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.

A collision reconstructionist was called to the scene and the investigation is continuing.

The collision occurred on a stretch of the highway between Exits 7 and 8. For much of the day this part of highway was closed.
