Restaurant rebuild finally complete after devestating February fire

By Amy Woolvett

After a devastating fire back in February, A1-Pizza in Shelburne will finally re-open next week.

In February, the local pizza restaurant was severely damaged by fire and it has taken owner Bill Chidiac a huge amount of work to get to the point where he can again open the doors to customers. The restaurant was completely rebuilt from the ground up.

While Chidiac had been hoping to open this Wednesday, a delivery delay with an oven part has set back the opening until Monday, Dec. 16.

Fire officials say the February blaze was most likely caused by an electrical problem.  It began in the storage area between the apartment and the attic and burned through the roofs.
