A Kentville man is headed to jail after pleading guilty to several assault-related charges.
Ryan Reid Dunbar, 29, , was in provincial court Dec. 4 for sentencing on charges of assault and assault with a weapon, related to incidents between Mar. 1 and Sept. 7. Dunbar was also charged with an additional count of assault and breach of an undertaking on Oct. 11.
The court handed down two sentences of eight months in custody, to be served concurrently, and a two-year probation term, for a total of eight months in custody. Dunbar was also ordered to submit to a DNA order and given a 12-year firearms prohibition and a lifetime ban on restricted weapons.
