RCMP arrested a 15-year-old boy on Thursday for weapons offences.
Barrington RCMP arrested a 15-year-old boy for weapons offences at Barrington Municipal High School on Thursday, Oct. 24.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., RCMP were called to Barrington High School for a student who was found carrying a knife. Police say that a preliminary investigation found that the youth had made threats to harm another student. Police seized the knife and no one was injured during this incident. RCMP arrested the youth at the school without incident. In a release, RCMP said that school administration followed all necessary protocols for such events. The arrested student will be facing charges for Possession of a Weapon and Uttering Threats. He was released on conditions and will appear in Youth Court on Dec. 6.
