The Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
The public is advised that there will be temporary, planned reduced telephone system capability at Yarmouth Regional Hospital starting Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10 p.m. and ending Thursday, Oct. 10 at 2 a.m.
Members of the public calling one of the hospital’s two main telephone lines during this four-hour period may receive a busy signal and are encouraged to try their call again.
The reduced telephone capability is part of a planned, necessary telephone system upgrade. The two main telephone numbers impacted by this system upgrade are:
• Yarmouth Regional Hospital Main Switchboard: 1-902-742-3541
• ER Department, Patient Inquiries: 1-902-749-2396
Full telephone system capacity is expected to resume by 2 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, once the system upgrade is complete.
The public is reminded that anyone requiring emergency services is advised to call 911. Patients with non-emergencies should contact Health Link 811 for medical advice.
South West Health appreciates the public’s support and cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
