A 44-year-old man was arrested Aug. 24 after the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant in Harbourville.
Around 11 a.m., police searched a Hamilton Road address, seizing marijuana plants from two inside grow rooms, and from an outdoor site, marijuana production equipment and two guns.
“Evidence discovered at the search site of illegal activities of out-of-season hunting of deer was turned over to the Department of Natural Resources for investigation,” Kings District RCMP spokesman Const. Blair MacMurtery said in a release.
The Harbourville man will appear in Kentville court at a later date on charges of marijuana possession and production, as well as unsafe storage of firearms.
The street crime unit is comprised of members of the Kentville Police Service and Kings and Windsor district RCMP.
