Trailer last seen in Mount Uniacke parking lot

Police are turning to the public for assistance locating a 32-foot Medibus trailer stolen from a church parking lot in Mount Uniacke in late July.
Const. Patricia Mahar, of the Rawdon RCMP detachment, says the privately-owned mobile blood services trailer was tan and blue, with medibus.ca written on the sides and back.
An area resident told police a white, middle-aged, heavyset male was seen hooking the $40,000 trailer, which was parked in the Uniacke Baptist Church parking lot, to a newer model, white Chevrolet truck around 4 p.m. July 26, Mahar said.
The license plate on the 2013 Suntrail trailer at the time of the theft read T352601.
Mahar says the police are urging the public to share whatever information they may have about the trailer as the owner did not notice it was missing for a couple of days, and it could be out of province by now.
“The owner parks it in that church parking lot and moves it when he needs to move it and use it,” she said.
Mahar estimated the computers and medical equipment in the trailer at the time of the theft would be worth more than $5,000.
Anyone with information regarding the stolen trailer is asked to contact the Rawdon RCMP detachment at (902) 632-2424, or place an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
