No injuries following electrical fire in Lockhartville

The Hantsport Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 721 Fielding Road, Lockhartville, Kings County at 4:17 p.m. on March 10.

When firefighters arrive, they found a single-storey house well involved with fire in the attic and roof, extending into the first floor living area.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire and the lone occupant escaped uninjured.

Mutual Aid was summoned from both Windsor and Wolfville fire departments at the scene, while Brooklyn Fire Department provided coverage at the Hantsport station.

The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature. The home was insured and there were no further injuries to civilians or firefighters on scene.
