A South Alton man has pled guilty to drug production, trafficking and possession charges and to possessing a firearm without the necessary licence.
Wayne Brenton Medicraft, 46, pled guilty to charges of unlawfully producing cannabis marijuana, unlawfully possessing in excess of 30 grams of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, unlawfully possessing cannabis marijuana and possessing a firearm without the necessary licence on Feb. 4. The matters were adjourned to Feb. 13 for sentencing.
The first two charges stem from an incident in South Alton on Sept. 19, 2012 and the second two from another incident in South Alton on Dec. 12.
Medicraft is charged also with a second count of possessing a firearm without holding the necessary licence, possessing a loaded prohibited weapon and storing a firearm in a careless manner in South Alton on Dec. 12. These three charges were adjourned to Feb. 13 for disposition.
Also charged with producing and possessing cannabis marijuana in South Alton Sept. 19 are Ralph Albert Medicraft, 66, of South Alton; Jason Keith Hiltz, 39, of South Alton; Michael Vincent Boylan, 26, of Berwick; Laura Lee Medicraft, 42, of South Alton; and Codey Jerome Ernst, 20, of South Alton.
Ernst is charged also with failing to comply with probation and Boylan is charged with unlawfully possessing hydromorphone contin and dilaudid.
All have elected provincial court judge and will be back in court Feb. 18 for disposition on the charges.
