Power has been restored to all areas of Kings County.

There are still 694 homes without power in the county.

According to Nova Scotia Power's outage map, Canning, Habitant, Kingsport, Medford, Delhaven, Pereau, Woodside, Blomidon, Scotts Bay, Bennets Bay, Ross Creek and adjacent side streets are experiencing the outage due to high winds and snow.

The power is not estimated to return until 11 p.m.

There are still 3,900 homes without power in Kings County.

Centreville, Billtown, Steam Mill Village, Glenmont, Baxters Hbr, Lakeville, Halls Hbr and Sheffield Mills and surrounding areas - 1,842

 

Canning, Habitant, Kingsport, Medford, Delhaven, Pereau, Woodside, Blomidon, Scotts Bay, Bennets Bay, Ross Creek and adjacent side streets - 1,574

Saxton St. east from Hwy 358, Wellington Dyke Rd, Lower Canard, Upper Canard to Middle Dyke Rd south, Hillaton, Upper Church St, Lower Church St. to north end of Starrs Point and adjacent side roads - 344

 

South Side of Commercial St, New Minas from Golf View Subd to the Sleep Inn on Prospect Rd and adjacent side streets - 143

the outage is caused by high winds and snow. Power is not expected to be restored until 11 p.m.

Updated 1:30 p.m. - About 4,600 people have had their power restored, but there are still 6,000 people without power in Kings County at this time.

Outages are being reported in the following areas:

Port Williams, Starrs Point, North Kentville - 1,195

South Side of Commercial St, New Minas from Golf View Subd to the Sleep Inn on Prospect Rd and adjacent side streets - 1,035

Centreville, Billtown, Steam Mill Village, Glenmont, Baxters Hbr, Lakeville, Halls Hbr and Sheffield Mills and surrounding areas - 1,842

The current information still has 11 p.m. as the restoration time.

According to NSP's power outage map, 10,617 are without power in Kings County, stretching from Centreville to Port Williams. The reason is snow and high winds. NSP is saying that power won't be restored until 11 p.m.
