Kings District R.C.M.P. stopped a vehicle on Exhibition Street, North Kentville on Jan. 4 at 10:22 p.m.
The male driver, a 31-year-old from Ostrea Lake, Halifax County, was approach and a large knife was observed on the passengers seat. On further investigation, an open bottle of rum and a large baton was found in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and two additional knives were seized and a quantity of cocaine.
The Halifax County man was released on conditions to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on March 25 on charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
