Five-year-old Ashton Houghton of Kentville was among the dozens of children and the young at heart enjoying some sledding at Kentville’s Burgher Hill Jan. 5. The slope is a popular spot for sledding and other fun winter recreational activities. It might be a bit too cold for sledding today, with a temperature at 9 a.m. of -10 and a windchill of -15C. Environment Canada was predicting that furries would be ending this afternoon and then clearing, with the snowfall amounting to two to four centimetres. Wind becoming north 30 km/h this morning. Temperature is expected to fall to -9C this afternoon.- Kirk Starratt
