Due to a gastrointestinal illness circulating at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, visitation is being limited at this time on Medical Unit B.

Medical Unit B is temporarily closed to visitors due to a gastrointestinal illness that is circulating among patients and staff. Some exceptions may apply for immediate family of critically ill patients.

All outpatient hospital services are still available; however, visitor restrictions on Medical Unit B will remain in place until further notice. Annapolis Valley Health reminds the public that regular and thorough hand washing can help prevent the spread of illness.
