Nov. 29

• At 11:45 p.m., Waterville and District firefighters responded in mutual aid to Berwick for a structure fire on Foster Street, and were on scene until after 3 a.m..

 

Nov. 30

• At 1:13 a.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision on Park Street. Kentville Police investigated the incident.

• Shortly after 9 a.m., Wolfville firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision in Lower Wolfville, with minor injuries.

• At 1:49 p.m., Wolfville firefighters responded in mutual aid first to Hantsport and then to Windsor. Those two departments were at the scene of a structure fire in Centre Burlington, Hants Co.

• At 9:54 p.m., Wolfville firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision on the Ridge Road in Wolfville, with no injuries.

 

Dec. 1

• At 1:30 p.m., Canning firefighters responded to a report of a kitchen fire at a residence on Main Street in Canning.  Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the stove area. The fire was not serious, but the cause was under investigation.

• Kentville firefighters responded to a truck fire on Bains Road in Atlanta at 6:22 p.m.

• At 7:37 p.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a report of a burning smell in a residence on Parkview Road. It turned out to be a problem with an extension cord.

• At 10:21 p.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a chimney fire on Canaan Cross Road in North Alton.

 

Dec. 2

• Kentville firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding at Camp Aldershot at 3:19 p.m. It turned out there had been a major water break in one of the main buildings. Firefighters were tied up for a while with investigation and cleanup. New Minas firefighters responded to stand in at the Kentville station.

• At 5 p.m., Canning firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding in an apartment building on Main Street in Canning, which was caused by a faulty detector.

 

Dec. 4

• At 3:19 p.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a commercial fire alarm sounding at Scotia Recycling on the Donald E. Hiltz Connector Road. It turned out to be a problem with the sprinkler system.

• New Minas firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle leaking gasoline in the County Fair Mall parking lot in New Minas at 9:16 p.m.

 

Dec. 6

• At 9 a.m., Canning firefighters responded to a report of a possible electrical fire at a residence on Seminary Avenue in Canning. There was no fire, and the problem turned out to be a faulty appliance.
