Items seized from a mobile home in Centre Rawdon last week are being analyzed as part of an investigation into the disappearance of 20-year-old Melissa Dawn Peacock.

A joint investigation by the RCMP’s Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit and investigators with the Halifax Regional Police determined that Peacock, of Dartmouth, was last known to be in the Gore area after midnight on Nov. 8, 2011.

Officers executed a search warrant to scour a property at 51 Douglas Road, Centre Rawdon, from Feb. 9 at noon to Feb. 11 at about 4 p.m.

Nova Scotia RCMP spokeswoman Sgt. Brigdit Leger said she could not go into specifics in the ongoing investigation, but clarified that the RCMP have not linked the property owner with Peacock’s disappearance.

“Based on the information that we have right now there is no known connection between the listed property owner and the disappearance of Melissa Peacock.”

Leger would not describe the items seized from the property, or speak about how the investigation is unfolding.

“We did seize items from the residence that have been sent for further investigation,” she said.

Peacock was last seen in the Lower Sackville, Beaver Bank area Nov. 7, 2011. Investigators suspect she was in a vehicle headed north on Hwy 354 after midnight Nov. 8, 2011.

She was reported missing Nov. 9, 2011. Press releases from the RCMP describe Peacock as a light-skinned, black woman, weighing about 105 pounds, with brown, curly, mid-length hair and hazel eyes.

Police are requesting that anyone with information on Peacock's whereabouts call Windsor RCMP at (902) 798-2207 or their local police department.
