 - HUPMAN, Marjorie Loantha, 89, of Shelburne, formerly of Lockeport, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. Born in Lockeport, she was a daughter of the late Seldon and Edith (Hardy) Hupman. Marjorie was a Postal Clerk in Lockeport for many years. She was a member of the Lockeport United Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Society of that church as well. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Marjorie loved to travel world wide and during her lifetime visited several countries. She was very fond of her pet cat, Muffin. Marjorie resided in Shelburne at Mary’s Abide-a-While for the past seven years. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Noble, Carlos, Howard and Victor; sisters, Modena, Annetta and Leona. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from the Lockeport United Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Hammond officiating. Interment was in Allendale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockeport United Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
