 - Suzanne Mary Copperthwaite Sweeny– 84, passed away peacefully Jan. 20 in her home, North Range, with daughter Shelagh, son-in-law Abe and Tabbycat by her side. Sue will be fondly remembered as a loving, self sacrificing mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family and friends. Her kind words and honesty shaped the lives of everyone she knew. Sue was an artist and has left behind her view of the world for us all to treasure. She moved in May 2006 from Ottawa to become a Nova Scotian. She is survived by her twin brother Gerry, her three children Shelagh, Margot, Alastair and by her grandchildren Andrew, Malcolm, Ewan, Caroline, Trisha and Sophie and great-granddaughter Masha. The family sends sincere thanks to Dr. Paula Carmicheal, Dr. Virik and all the caring VON nurses that helped so much at home. The family plans a memorial service this summer at the lake she so loved and an art exhibition in her honour.
