The world's largest and most influential commercial fishing and aquaculture event, the World Fishing Exhibition (WFE), will take place Sept. 16-19, 2009.
Held only once every six years in Vigo, Spain – which is the biggest fresh and frozen fish landing port in Europe – WFE is more than an international showcase of the latest technology of the fisheries and aquaculture industries; it creates a platform for the sector to come together to discuss the future of the commercial fishing and aquaculture industries.
The last event held in 2003 saw 800 exhibitors from 80 nations and some 70,000 worldwide professionals visiting who generated more than 400 million Euros ($621,128,451.99 Canadian) worth of business and organizers of this year's event promise it will be another unrivalled success.
Also, with the launch of AQA 2009 (Aqua Farming International) Exhibition, the aquaculture industry will be represented with a dedicated area of 3000 square metres of the latest products and technology and the AQA Conference, supported by the European Aquaculture Conference and APROMAR, will highlight opportunities within this fast growing sector.
