To mark the 75th anniversary of the RCMP in Nova Scotia, the Annapolis RCMP is offering a day of demos, displays and discussion at the Bridgetown detachment, Wednesday July 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A number of authorities and emergency response agencies will be on hand to display equipment, technologies and techniques employed in the pursuit of their duties.
Participants will include 14 Wing Greenwood’s Flight Simulator, RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit, Police Dog Services, RCMP Mobile Command Centre, Emergency Measures Organization, Annapolis County Ground Search and Rescue, EHS, various area fire departments, Citizens on Patrol, Public Safety and Communication, CrimeStoppers, and Cornwallis RCMP.
Full home security and safety displays will be set up by a number of local home and building supply stores.
In case of rain, the event will continue at the Bridgetown Arena.
