Warning of vehicle registration scam

Nova Scotians should be aware of a telephone scam involving vehicle registrations.

Anyone who receives an automated phone message informing them that their vehicle registration expired, and to call a number to renew it by credit card, should be aware that this is a scam.

Access Nova Scotia Centres and Registry of Motor Vehicles Offices do not call clients about expired vehicle registrations.

People who receive a call about renewing vehicle registrations, are urged to call police.
