There were 209 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.

On Dec. 11, a 64-year-old female driver was arrested a 10:17 a.m. in Coldbrook for being highly impaired.

Two female youth were caught shoplifting at Zeller’s in New Minas.

At 4:07 a.m. Dec. 12 police received a 911 call about a break-in in progress on Highbury School Rd. A man was trying to break down a door with a piece of wood. With the assistance of a police dog, a 22-year-old man was found hiding in a nearby vehicle and arrested. Charges are pending.

Someone broke into the Kingston Diner overnight and took a safe after smashing a back window. The United Church was also broken into and food stolen.

Two youth, aged 11 and 12, lit a fire under a patio at a business in New Minas about 7:15 p.m. Police put the fire out and transported them to their parents.

A 16-year-old was found stuck near the school in Gaspereau at 11:40 p.m. He was charged with impaired driving.

Early on Dec. 13 two youth were observed stealing baby Jesus from the nativity scene at the New Minas Baptist Church. They also damaged the scene and were walking toward Greenwich.

Different noise reports came in from Gaspereau Ave. in Wolfville. Both received warnings.

A 30-year-old driver was stopped at a checkpoint in Welsford. He had no license, insurance or valid vehicle documents.

A 911 call led to the arrest of a 45-year-old impaired driver who was driving recklessly around the Brookside Trailer Park in Kingston. He struck one of the homes.

Police received two reports of an impaired driver in Wolfville at 5:56 p.m. His half-ton truck was located in Port Williams where the 47-year-old man was observed stumbling. He was lodged in a cell and the truck towed.

At 11:20 p.m. a concerned citizen reported taking a woman who had been drinking heavily home after she fell several times in downtown Wolfville. Police located her and took her to hospital for a check.

A vehicle collided with a deer in North Alton at 2:50 a.m. Dec. 14. Four tires were stolen off a vehicle in East Dalhousie overnight.

Two summer homes were broken into at Baxter’s Harbour. Two elderly women were involved in a parking lot collision in New Minas at 3:45 p.m.

Early on Dec. 16 police received a 911 call about a woman laying in the road on Shelby Dr. in New Minas. She had been drinking.

A New Minas car dealership suffered damage to a vehicle due to a rock thrown through the windshield.

Two unlocked vehicles were ransacked in Port Williams overnight. A Main St., Kingston residence was broken into through the garage.

Change disappeared from an unlocked vehicle parked on Evergreen Ave. in New Minas.

Gas cans were stolen from a storage shed on Exhibition St. in north Kentville.

A cottage was broken into in Ogilvie on the Fundy shore, as well as a cottage at Victoria Harbour.

A New Minas paper carrier reported ongoing problems with newspapers being stolen.

A 1994 Plymouth was stolen from a New Minas business while waiting for repair. The owner spotted it the next day in a local trailer park. Police discovered a 30-year-old man, who had been drinking, passed out in the vehicle. The man was arrested and charges are pending.

Someone was caught on video shoplifting from the New Minas Liquor Store.

A man was reported laying on Randolph Rd. in Waterville. Police checked on his well-being.

Police were called to Valley Regional Hospital about an agitated female patient. She was arrested and placed in a cell. The 27-year-old woman was returned to the hospital for assessment in the morning, still agitated.

A $200 iPod was taken out of an unlocked car in Aylesford overnight last Wednesday.

Three vehicles collided on Highway 1 in Aylesford due to snowy conditions near 11 a.m.

A toxic mixture of chemicals occurred on Skyway Dr. in Wolfville and police and fire services responded.

A second report of a vehicle driving on the lawn of the Wallbrook church came in and police found a 17-year-old driver stuck. He said he had been looking for pine cones and volunteered to repair the damaged lawn.

A vehicle went into the ditch off Highway 101 near Avonport at 8 a.m. last Thursday.

An unlocked vehicle on Mayhew Dr. in Greenwood was ransacked. Construction tools were stolen from a house being renovated on Fairfield St. in Wolfville.

There were seven domestic incidents and four mental health calls, one of which appeared to involve self-inflicted cuts.

There were minor collisions in Greenwich, Greenwood, Brooklyn St. and Highway 101 near Kingston.

There were 10 false business alarms, 11 false residential alarms and 12 false 911 calls.
