Early last Monday morning in Wolfville, a man was arrested at 12:17 a.m. after Anvil bar staff complained to an officer on patrol about marijuana smoking.
A vehicle tried to pass a tractor-trailer on the Brow Mtn. Rd. and caused a collision. Police determined that the truck was unregistered and uninsured.
Police observed a young male walking down Prospect St. in Wolfville with an open beer in each hand at 10:45 a.m. A fine was issued and the beers were seized.
Two adult females were caught trying to steal make-up at Zellers in New Minas. An hour later, a 43-year-old woman was stopped outside Zellers by store security. She was arrested and will go to court in May.
There was a hit-and-run on Commercial St. in New Minas at 4:38 p.m. Two vehicles collided on Highway 1 in Coldbrook at 7:58 p.m.
Last Tuesday at 1:21 a.m. an officer on foot patrol along Main St. in Wolfville heard a loud roar and observed a pick-up truck skid around a corner, alarming pedestrians. The driver was charged with careless and imprudent driving.
There was a collision in Wolfville at 12:15 p.m. on Main St.
A 32-year-old man committed indecent exposure in the chip aisle at Zellers in New Minas. An assault occurred after he was recognized from a previous incident in December. The man was arrested.
Police were called about an oil leak in Cambridge at 6:42 p.m.
A father and his five-year-old son went into the washroom at the Petro-Can gas station in New Minas just before 7 p.m. The dad smoked marijuana and then took the boy to see 'Dr. Seuss,' which was playing at Empire Theatres. Police determined that marijuana had been used in his car, so an officer returned after the movie ended and issued a warning as well as a Protection of Property order for the gas station.
Someone broke an exterior door handle at a home on King Arthur Crt. in New Minas at 8:20 p.m.
Last Wednesday morning a man attempted to steal a donation bottle from the counter at the Ben's Bread discount store in Coldbrook. A staff member followed him outside and demanded the bottle back. It was handed over and the man's license plate number observed.
At 10:02 a.m. an officer on patrol stopped an impaired driver and observed someone place an open beer bottle on the hood of a truck. The individual was charged $452 for illegal possession of liquor.
Someone stole a large amount of jewelry from a home on the Windermere Rd. Someone in New Minas reported a Fed-Ex driver for reading a book rested on his steering wheel while driving about 2:15 p.m.
A car owner in Wolfville reported a vehicle window smashed in a parking lot downtown.
A rear-ender occurred on Highway 1 in Cambridge at 3 p.m. A man failed to pay for $54 worth of gas at the Super Store in Kingston at 7:50 p.m.
Someone stole a 1998 Ford with the key in its ignition from River Rd. in Kingston.
There were five domestic incidents. There were four false business alarms, five false residential alarms and 11 false 911 calls.
