Christmas Eve service

On Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. at Beacon United Church, there will be a Christmas Eve worship by candlelight and a pageant "The Angel Story" by the young people of Beacon.

There will be a Christmas Eve service at the Port Maitland Wesleyan Church on Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.

Fundraiser bingo

Dec. 28

There will be a meat and lobster bingo Dec. 28 held as a fundraising event for the Sr. Boys Par-En-Bas hockey team from 1:30 - 4 at Ecole Secondaire de Par-En-Bas. Bingo chips only. Ten cents per card/three cards for 25 cents. For more info Anne Cottreau 902-648-3310.

Concert

Fused for Tonight concert will be held Dec. 28 as a fundraising event for the Sr. Boys Par-En-Bas hockey team. Concert to begin at 7p.m. at Ecole Secondaire de Par-En-Bas - $5 admission - New CD "The Far Side" For more info: Leona d'Entremont 902-762-3274.

New Year’s Eve event

There will be a New Year’s Eve get-together and dance at Le Club Acadien in SAR on Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. DJ Kenney; $5 a couple. Info: 902-648-2203.

There will be a New Year’s dance at the South Ohio Community Centre on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., $12 a person. For tickets telephone: 902-742-2877.

There will be New Year’s Eve dance at the Surette’s Island Club from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Music by George and Marilyn Martinelli. $12 a person or $20 a couple.

New Year’s Eve party

The Boys and Girls Club is throwing a New Year’s Eve party, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the cotton mill building on Water Street that will feature a casino type atmosphere, dancing with DJ Rob, 20 tables of gaming, balloon drop, prizes and a live auction. Tickets for the "Monte Carlo" can be purchased at the Boys and Girls Club of Yarmouth at 11 Bond St., City Drug Store or at the Cotton Mill Community Center. Prices are $25 a person or $45 a couple. Skating registration

The Yarmouth Skating Club is taking registrations for adult power skating and adult learn to figure skate classes beginning in the new year.

ELF program

The ELF (Everbody Loves Friday) program will take place at the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church on Friday, Jan. 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Snacks, games and crafts. Parents invited to register for stamp it up scrapbook sessions (902-742-1613).

Quilt seminar
