Kings-Hants constituents came out in droves on the weekend to attend MP Scott Brison's annual barbecue at Kip's Beach, in Cheverie. For many, it marked the first time they've met the Liberal politician's recently-expanded family.

Brison, and his husband, Maxime St-Pierre, announced the arrival of Claire and Rose Brison-St-Pierre Feb. 23, 2014. The babies were born on Feb. 21. Throughout the afternoon event, constituents and supporters stopped by to socialize with Brison, enjoy music by Kevin Davison and the Smokin' Section, and visit with the babies.

The three-hour event was held July 27.
