Centreville Baptist Church’s Evening Workers Auxiliary held its fifth annual Quilt and Rug Hooking Show May 9-10.

According to Ann Steadman, one of the organizers, it was "our biggest yet, with 500 pieces in all.”

Admission to the show was by freewill donation, and visitors also got to cast their votes for a people's choice section.

"We put out a challenge each year, for both quilts and rugs, with a different theme each year," Steadman said.

This year's theme was Down by the Bay. The show featured quilts and rugs from all over the Maritimes and several from further away than that, including one originating in the Bahamas.
