Shubenacadie Wildlife Park

Celebrate National Wildlife Week by learning to fish. 

Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 12 and 13, sport fish development officer Andrew Lowles will show participants the safe and proper way to fish at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park. 

The free program will begin with a 90-minute presentation, followed by fishing in the park's pond. The program will wrap up with a fish-cleaning demonstration and cooking the catch. 

Participants should bring outdoor clothes, rubber boots, hat, insect repellent and sunblock.

Up to 30 people can attend each day and children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.For information or to register, contact 758-5316 or legacycentre@gov.ns.ca.
