Scotiabank’s Anne Marshall, Avila Coutinho, Sherri Reynolds and Mitchell Whiston aced the Windsor Winter Carnival 2014 Corporate Challenge and brought home the coveted Winterpalooza Cup on Feb. 12. Businesses competing for the cup had teams complete disc golf and longest drive challenges at the parks neighbouring the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre. Windsor’s winter carnival is still a go, just a little later than usual this year.

The events, rescheduled due to poor weather conditions in February, will run March 21-22, starting with a Seniors’ Day at the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre in Windsor the afternoon of March 21. The Seniors’ Day activities include a partners’ cribbage tournament and Seniors 45s. Prizes and refreshments will be available.

The community centre will then host a Bounce 101.3 pre-teen dance for children between the ages of seven and 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The cost of admission is $5, and pizza slices and drinks will be sold at the dance.

Friday’s events will conclude with a fireworks display at Elmcroft Park. The show is slated to begin at 8:45 p.m.

Be sure to save $4 for admission to Family Fun Day at the community centre from 1-4 p.m. March 22.  The admission price earns ticket holders one turn in the giant inflatable “3 Ring Circus,” a healthy snack and access to a diverse offering of games and activities that include Wii dancing, face painting, frog hopping, crafting, cookie decorating and much more.

Call Carol or Doug Dahr for more information about the cribbage tournament at 1-902-798-8274.  For more information about 45s, call 1-902-798-4396.
