Festival Artistic Director, Errin Williams-Spidle speaks to the crowd at a past Harmony Bazaar festival in Lockeport.

Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women and Song had a great year in 2013 and is looking for volunteer board members and committee captains to help make sure that 2014 is a success.  On Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Lockeport Recreation Centre the annual general meeting will take place, and all interested people are encouraged to attend.

“Even if you just want to come out and hear about the plans for 2014, or want to help in a small or big way this year, we’d love to have community members come out to the AGM,” says Festival Artistic Director, Errin Williams-Spidle.  As well as looking for new board members Harmony Bazaar is looking for volunteers and festival captains to help organize merchandise, volunteers, sponsorship, and promotion.

Artists are being booked and schedules are forming with planning well underway for Harmony Bazaar 2014.

“With artists like Erin Costello, Christine Campbell and Irish Mythen returning and the amazing talents of newcomers Cyndi Cain, The Secrets, and Kim Harris on deck for this year’s festival, 2014 is sure to be another amazing year for Harmony Bazaar,” says Williams-Spidle.

The announcement of festival headliners and many other artists and events will come in future weeks as more planning unfolds.
