The Churchill House is less of a mystery to many people who may never have viewed the historic homestead if not for the work of Paula Huntley and Margo Corkum.

The decorating duo dressed the former abode of accomplished shipbuilder Ezra Churchill up for the holidays for their fourth annual Christmas Home Tour Nov. 23.

The charity event brought in nearly $6,700, with more than 400 guests visiting the home dating back to 1860.  The proceeds will be distributed to breast cancer research efforts, Atlantic Small Dog Rescue and Friends of Ferals.

Guests taking in the home tour could peruse the property, enjoy music by the Valley Voices and Susan Ueffing, snack on mulled apple cider and seasonal treats, or go on a shopping spree in the Red Barn, which was filled with vendors for the first home tour to be hosted at Churchill House.
