ATV enthusiasts gathered at the Mariners Centre this weekend, Sept. 20-22, for the Sou'West Nova ATV Jamboree, sponsored by the Sou'West Nova ATV Association. Many of the events took place on the grounds of the Mariners Centre, including the confidence course, the ATV pulls and the popular mud run, which was set up on the soutwest side of the Mariners Centre, by the H.V. Anthony Pavilion.
An ATV trade show was held in the pavilion itself.
The weekend activities began Saturday with a fun run to the Belleville area.
On Sunday, ATV drivers took part in a poker run, leaving town at around 10 a.m. gathering at the parking lot at the beginning of the rail trail on Water Street.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony.
This is the fourth year for the jamboree, which first took place on Water Street.
The new location on Mariners Centre property has enabled organizers to expand the activities.
The Sou’West Nova ATV Association is the largest organized ATV group out of 35 clubs in the province of Nova Scotia. Its members reside from Weymouth, Clare, Yarmouth, and all areas through to Shag Harbour.
