Sandy (Clara Hodder) transforms into the girl of Danny’s (Neil MacQuarrie) dreams. The cast of Grease wrapped up the musical with You’re the One That I Want and We Go Together.

King’s-Edgehill School’s performance of Grease transported the audience back to the 1950s for a musical about teenage love and the joys of graduating from high school.

The show ran nightly from Nov. 17 to 19.

More than three dozen students took part in the performance, whether acting on stage, behind the scenes, or playing the pit band.

The play starred Neil MacQuarrie as Danny Zuko and graduating student Clarra Hodder as Sandy Dumbrowski. The main supporting cast included Adam Murphy (Sonny), Ryan Connor (Roger), Nico Castro-Folker (Doody), Zachary Lakes (Kenickie), Maria LeDuc (Jan), Janis McCulloch (Rizzo), Emily MacMillan (Marty), Krysten Mannett (Frenchy), Mackenzie Seagram (Patty), Ben Jodrey (Eugene), Lauren Chamberlain (Miss Lynch), Evan Taylor (Vince Fontaine), Michelle MacRae (Cha-Cha) and Federico Cisneros Sanchez (Teen Angel).

The ensemble included Maximilian Graf Lambsdorff, Kori Lightfoot, Emily Leet, Maggie Davison, Mykaela Collins, Emilie Scantland-Griffiths, Emma Burry, Kayleigh Gravel, Toni Marsman, and Emma Clarke.

Working backstage were Alaura Moore (stage manager), Karen Walsh (stage manager), Ethan Drory (sound technician) and Patrick Wu (light technician).

Performing in the pit band were Lauren Acker (alto sax), Sid Chou (percussion and drums), Jean Chen (synthesizer), Debby Chao (piano and assistant musical director), Tobias Kamps (guitar), Caitlin Corkum (clarinet and tenor sax), Ben Mackey (bass) and Federico Cisneros Sanchez (drums).

The musical director was Jeff Smith and the creative director was Aynsley Sasaki. Set design was provided by Karen Jones.
