RCMP responded to a total of 65 calls in the Annapolis County region during the week of November 17 to 24. Among these were three false alarms, three false 911s, 11 motor vehicle accidents, and four domestic incidents.
Regular followers of this column will know that 65 calls is a relatively quiet week. A quick scan of the type of calls furthers that assessment: very few property violations or reports of violent conduct. Mostly it was a week of cars slipping and sliding in the poor road conditions. Apparently our miscreants are bundled up inside dealing with the sudden arrival of winter, too.
(Note: Due to the sensitive nature of complaints involving sexual assault, domestic violence, children’s welfare, and mental health, not all calls are considered appropriate for publication.)
