Drug bust in Digby area this morning

Cocaine, marijuana, cash, five vehicles, illegal cigarettes and a firearm were seized by police in a series of early morning searches in the Digby area.

A statement from the RCMP said six individuals are in custody in Digby and face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The six are to be released and are scheduled to appear at a later date in Provincial Court in Digby.

Members of the RCMP’s Southwest Nova drug section, the Digby Detachment and Halifax Regional Police took part in the search of four residences in the area.

RCMP also issues a plea for anyone with any information of illegal drug activity in their community to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
