Staff Sgt. Bruno Deveau said it appears a “verbal domestic dispute” erupted at the residence. RCMP responded about 3:30 p.m. The man can’t be named until or if charges are laid.

Staff Sgt. Deveau said, “Basically, we waited until he was in a safe location and he was arrested without incident” at about 5:45 p.m.

He said firearms charges are pending, adding, “No one got assaulted; there were no injuries to anyone. We had to proceed very carefully but it was resolved in a safe manner.”
