A Berwick man has to pay the pie men $25,000 in restitution.

Ray Stanley McKenzie, 37, pleaded guilty in Kentville provincial court Wednesday, May 21 to defrauding Sarsfield Foods of more than $5,000. McKenzie was an employee of the company at the time of the offense.

Judge Claudine MacDonald suspended sentencing on McKenzie for the fraud and imposed a term of two years’ reporting probation on him. She also ordered him to pay $25,000 in restitution to the company within 18 months.

McKenzie committed the fraud between Dec. 3, 2003 and July 30, 2007.
