Between Monday, June 2 and Sunday, June 8, Windsor District RCMP was kept busy answering a total of 146 calls for service.

There were 13 false alarms and only two misdialed 911 calls that came in over this reporting period. Thank you to the general public for this. Good to see better use of the 911 system.

Windsor District RCMP investigated three reports of assault, two complaints of uttering threats as well as two reports of disturbing the peace and only one complaint of harassment.

There were a significant amount of theft-related complaints recorded at 23. Most of these, however, were the rash of thefts from parked vehicles. Two males had been arrested and charged in connection with these.

Police are also investigating four reports of break and enter and five complaints of damage to property.

During this reporting period, there were six traffic collisions investigated, 22 traffic-related complaints and eight reports of impaired driving.

RCMP Annapolis Valley Traffic Services has been very active in Hants County lately. The members are looking for all kinds of traffic-related infractions, from speeding to failing to stop at stop signs. Please be aware of this.

Slow down, buckle up, and drive with common sense. This will certainly make our roads much safer this summer. Traffic Services members will continue to patrol all roads in the county throughout the summer.

Windsor Rural RCMP is investigating a break and enter into the Falmouth Kwik-Way in Falmouth, which occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, May 19. Several packages of cigarettes were stolen from the store.
