Tournament runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Mariners Centre

It’s all about female hockey at the Mariners Centre this weekend.

The first-ever Chicks with Sticks hockey tournament, featuring more than 20 teams, is being held at the Yarmouth arena over the weekend, attracting more than 350 female hockey players from around the province in the peewee, bantam, midget and midget AAA levels.

While the hockey action won’t wrap up until late Sunday, here’s a look at some of the action and images from Friday evening, including a game between the Yarmouth midget Mariners and Acadia.
