Well Woman Day offers women in Queens Co. the opportunity to have their pap test done by a female physician as well as participate in educational sessions, interactive displays (massage, beauty, fitness, et cetera), enjoy refreshments and socialize with others in our community.
At last year’s clinic women had the opportunity to participate in a number of topic based educational sessions that focused on self-esteem, menopause, PMS, incontinence and more. These sessions will be offered again this year and will include some of the same topics as well as some new ones (stay tuned for a schedule).
Always a big hit is the acupuncture session that allows women an opportunity to just sit back and relax while being looked after by a professional acupuncturist. With such an array of things going on, there is sure to be something for everyone. So, whether you’re coming for a Pap Test or just want to drop by to see what’s going on, everyone is welcome.
Registration is required for Pap Test appointments. Appointments can be made by calling the VON – Queens Branch at 354-3297 on or after Oct. 14. No appointments will be booked prior to this date.
Queens Community Health Board Well Woman Day
The 12th Annual Well Woman Day is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Queens General Hospital.
