Come to Caledonia Corner on Friday evening, December 4th for the official tree lighting of our 50-foot spruce tree (along with various other trees in the community). Sponsored by the North Queens Board of Trade and Nova Scotia Power, this event features hot chocolate (bring your own mug!), Santa, an old fashioned sleigh/wagon ride, and caroling.

At the same time you can participate in the 2009 Nova Scotia Power LED Holiday Light Exchange. Bring two strings of traditional glass holiday lights for free recycling and receive one string of LED holiday lights in return—a gift from Nova Scotia Power to help you on your way to energy savings. LED lights use 90% less electricity than traditional lights they last at least 10 times longer, and produce very little heat, reducing the risk of fire. Quantities are limited, based on a first-come, first-served basis. One LED set per person.
