The annual Yarmouth Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of Yarmouth town hall will take place Friday, Nov. 27, starting at 6 p.m.
Opening remarks and caroling will begin at 6 p.m., with the tree lighting taking place at 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will be followed by the serving of cider and hot chocolate.
Once again, the town and municipality of Yarmouth are taking part in the Nova Scotia Power LED Holiday Light Exchange program. If you bring in two sets of old incandescent holiday lights you will receive one LED holiday light string for free. Supplies are limited, though, so this will be first-come, first-served. The light exchange will take place from 5-7 p.m.
